The fluoride used in water treatment is not the fluoride that occurs naturally in water in some areas. The American Dental Association loves fluoride. They may or may not lose money on doing fillings, but all the lovely and expensive work they get to do to make teeth attractive when half the population has fluorisis (a condition that looks like distemper teeth in dogs) gives them a wonderful income. There's method in their madness. We've been fighting this madness in Pennsylvania for years. Every session of the state legislature brings another idiot with a bill. I imagine the American Dental Association must donate a bundle to a campaign in order to get someone to present this bill to increase dental profits. It does have one positive (?) effect. The number of people with kidney disease, the feeble elderly and infants it kills off probably help with overpopulation. The city officials of Los Angeles will probably love that.
