So what else is new? Today the US government blames one man, Slob Milosevic,
for the horrors from the air (including making Yugoslavia practically glow
with DU) inflicted on Serb CIVILIANS, including women and children, plus
those MANY who opposed the Milosevic regime (who just as casually are
likewise blamed for the NATO casualties -- for failing to overthrow the
regime that oppressed them). And the US government STILL blames one man,
Saddam Hussein, for its economic embargo and continued bombing of Iraq which
has cost millions of innocent CHILDREN's lives. The official foreign policy
of our government is GENOCIDE, so why shouldn't that be the case domestically
TOO?
If OTHER superpowers acted as OUR government does (as opposed to what it SAYS
it does). the next time the United States forcibly intervened in the domestic
affairs of other nations (something it does on a regular basis), they --using
the VERY SAME rationale-- could "legitimately" mass-murder every civilian who
had voted for the sitting President, then all those who didn't vote for an
opposing candidate (thus having permitted him to win the election), along
with all those voters' spouses, children and relatives, and seal off America
from importing food, fuel and other needed resources for a whole decade.
George Walker Bush better not piss off Red China or Russia, or the American
people may find these "rules of engagement" chosen by their government and
(even if only by default) condoned by the electorate, applied to THEM, more
universally than at Waco.
"You get the government you deserve" -- as we've made clear to the Serbs and
Iraqis.
We've likewise made it clear that any populace which DOESN'T overthrow the
dictatorial regime that oppresses it DESERVES the GENOCIDE an enemy state may
inflict on it.
But "what goes around comes around," eventually.
Keep that in mind when you go to the polls in 2000 to cast your vote for the
Commander in Chief of the next World War. YOU and YOUR CHILDREN become --by
such logic-- just as "responsible" for US foreign policy casualties as the
President himselft and as "JUSTLY deserving" any "terrorist attacks" using
suitcase nukes, anthrax or sarin gas.
(In Japan, the women and children killed in Hiroshima/Nagasaki "deserved" it,
right?)
