Ric,
"Thou shalt not kill", or something like that... encompasses anyone's
interpretation of the terminology... If you want to use the terminology so
loosely and without regard of the context, why not find out what the Hebrew
language says about it definitively?
In Hebrew, the terminology,
"Thou shalt not kill", properly translated, is
"Thou shalt not commit premeditated murder".
(Just to dispell those who would hold in contempt those who protect their
families, property, and COUNTRY against the evils of this world, who would
attempt to invade, or remove one's inalienable rights. The right to bear
and utilize arms or any other weapon for that matter has always been legal,
from the beginning, in order to protect oneself and others).
Those who are predisposed to kill incessantly and needlessly, will find a
way to kill, they don't need a gun.
The perverbial gun gets a lot of negative flack... for in all reality, any
item, when used with malice, is just as destructive as a gun with a bullet,
and besides, the person who pulled the trigger is the one who executes,
not the gun or other item of destruction. When will people ever be willing
to learn to differentiate? Maybe it just takes a little too much effort for
some people to put brain in gear and expend a little energy.
