OK List
- Here's a Chance to stop debating the past for bit and to actually change the
future. Anybody interested?
Dan
Hopsicker and I are working on a very big story which will print in the next
issue of From The Wilderness. It is a major evolutionary step from where we
started on the alleged George "W" drug sting three months ago. The
story is about what I will call "The Smoking Airplane" and why an
airplane once owned by Barry Seal is now owned by the State of Texas.
The
full story will run in the october issue of from The Wilderness which will mail
on October 28. I can't tell you the whole thing because it isn't written yet.
And it is big. Completion of one particluar mission might take "W" out
of the race - if it's true. We need your help.
Here
are the known items:
1.
Gantt Aviation of Georgetown, Texas - outside of Dallas which sold the plane in
question to the State in 1990.
2.
Florence Gantt - Secretary to Admiral John Poindetxer in
1985-6-7.
Question 1: Where is Florence Gantt now?
Question 2: Is she in any way shape or form related to the Gantt's (Jay
and Johnny) of Gantt aviation in Austin?
Question 3: What is there about either Gantt that we don't
know.
You can
eliminate the product of standard web searches such as the
following:
1. E.F.
Gantt on I Street, NE in Wash. D.C. - not her
2.
Florence Gantt, Las vegas NV. - disconnected moved, no
listing.
3. Flornce Gantt on NW 15th Court in Miami is a possibility
but the new number has been "pending a new number hook up" for five
days.
4.
There's an EF Gantt in Ft. Worth who has not returned a
call.
Use
caution and judgement so that we don't ind up having a hundred people call the
same person.
If you
find anything you can either e-mail it to me or to Daniel. Or you can post it to
the list. The journalistic rule here that if you find Florence Gantt and you get
her to admit that she is related to Gantt Aviation (or emphatically deny it),
you must be willing to go "on the record" and have your name used in
the story. If not then find her and let me or Dan get the quote. Either way
works.
I'll
give you a hint that records have been disappearing just about as fast as Dan
and I can get to them and ask for them. We can't pay you but since the country's
sinking and you'll be helping to set it right, maybe that'll be pay enough. It
will certainly prove that there are people who still know how to work together.
Anybody who comes up with anything significant gets a free subscription to From
The Wilderness or, if you're already on board, a one year extension to your
current one.
I am
leaving town for speaking engagements until late Sunday night. I will be back on
line Monday morning.
Kick
