I don't think it's very good art. I don't think it's demonic or occult, just
intended to evoke the horror of war. George Grosz and K�the Kollwitz did a
much better job during and after WWI. The dove is probably meant to
represent, not the Holy Spirit, but rather Peace (as in the Lenin Peace
Prize). There's a lot of strange stuff at DIA, a lot of which seems intended
to jerk a few chains (like the joker who included the line about the "New
World Airport Commission" on one of the plaques). That terminal is, hands
down, the strangest building I have ever been in. Seeing it sitting there in
the middle of all that open space, with those bizarre ventilation towers
sitting in open fields, you can almost believe the stories about it being
the cover for the secret North American headquarters of the New World Order,
with secret tunnels a mile deep or whatever...
