It should ready "Uruguay" instead of "Ecuador". Mitrone worked as a CIA torture teacher in several countries in South America in the 60s and 70s but it was the Uruguayan Tupamaros that kidnapped him and after a trial he was summarily executed for the crime of being a confirmed torturer. Incidentally Mitrione was a devout Catholic with 10 children. Did he belonged to the Mafia? What was his connection to the CIA? What else knew about David Sanchez Morales? There are now 37 intelligence agencies (public & private) who will do harassments on request. I was told that Op 40 started out good, but got comprimised and corrupted over vietnam and drugs. I suspect that those individuals with military background were already comprimised by operation paperclip and collusionwith japanese and nazi war criminals. Folks associated with Op 40 usually are helped to a serving of the cia flu at some point, or at least comprimised or discredited. They are all watched closely and if they drink too much or talk too much they get the "bug" such as what happened to fiorini and d.s moralis. Op 40 was supposedly discontinued with the "special operating group" or something of the such of the nsc substituted for it. Op 40 was always supposed to be an exective offce driven group, but I suspect it served the special interests of the defense contractrs and merchant bankers.
