On August 10, 1999, the fluoridation of the Los Angeles water supply
began without the consent of the public, without a public vote, and
without the knowledge of most people.
However, it is being done with your money, even though 213,000 L.A.
voters rejected fluoridation in 1975. And despite the fact that
fluoride is more toxic than arsenic and lead, and has been
scientifically proven to be toxic and carcinogenic to human beings.
Fluoride is a recognized poison available by the ton in the form of
industrial by-products from various industries (primarily fluosilicic
acid from phosphate fertilizer production) and is very costly
to dispose of. Although fluoride is used as a pesticide (Cryolite to
kill bugs, especially high amounts found in raisins and grapes--even
organic) and is also used in rodenticides (sodium fluoride kills
rodents), this same poison is added to the majority of commercial
toothpastes, which must now carry a poison warning on their labels.
Harm to people (especially children and babies) is a well-documented
fact.
