sabotaged. Eight American servicemen died in the fiasco.

Carter was apparently a very trusting soul. The dirt that was done to him is
more than likely the reason the FBI files were found at the White House. It
would be a good idea if every administration thoroughly investigated all the
personnel even minutely connected to the White House. I believe the credit
for stealing the notes goes to George Wills and Robert Novak, both
representatives of our esteemed media. Nice to know the media never
interfere with political matters.

It didn't take reports from the intelligence community to prove this matter.
COMSEC is still the very best method of finding out what's going or gone on.
The material I heard on three different programs on Public Television (over a
period of about six months) gave me the skinny on this matter. Public
Television material still had teeth in those days. It was before the Reagan
administration carefully made those folks dependent on government and
corporate money. Anyway I still had illusions too, because when one
individual (name I cannot remember) mentioned that an association of retired
generals had wanted to be positive that the prisoners were not released
before the election and as much as admitted they sabotaged the operation to
keep it from happening, I became instantly nauseated. We had lost men for
the political ambitions of these "CONSERVATIVES." I think it took me about
five minutes before I could be sure I wouldn't actually vomit. I was working
for a helicopter outfit at the time, and our guys took off at the top of the
envelope. We weren't losing aircraft. Why did every helicopter fall out of
the sky over there. I can assure you; I have never looked at generals or
Republicans in the same way. I suspect them all. Prudy
