Humanity is faced with a constellation of problems that may very well threaten the basis of our civilization. Industrial environmental pollution is a driving force behind global warming. This in turn has led to radical changes in weather that has triggered a series of unprecedented catastrophes, storms, droughts and enormous forest fires are threatening the well being of millions. Nationalistic rivalry among the worlds nations has created a situation where weapons of mass destruction are becoming increasingly widespread. Tens of thousands of nuclear weapons exist that if detonated could kill billions of people. The refusal of political leaders to create a disarmament regime spurs others to join the nuclear club. For those poor nations or fanatical movements that can't afford atomic devices, biological and chemical weapons are tempting means for terrorism. Racial, ethic, and religious discrimination and intolerance are causes of civil wars and social unrest that are prevalent. A day does not go by when there is standstill in the, bombings, shootings, beatings and cursings that human kind carries out against fellow human beings because of perceived differences. Against this tragic backdrop of human folly a new development has arisen. Anomalous structured craft that appear to defy the laws of science as we know them are being seen in the sky. Stories of contact with strange beings of a presumed extraterrestrial nature are being circulated non-stop. The exact nature of this phenomenon defies explanation. No one knows from where these creatures come, whether from other star systems or from other dimensions in time space. They have remarkable powers to alter our perceptions of reality, to erase memory, to create illusion and and perhaps over time even change our belief systems. The response of the planet's elites has been to simply try to ignore this phenomenon. It is my assessment that the presence of non-human intelligence threatens all terrestrial power. This would include the political, economic, religious and academic elites of planet Earth. Whether this phenomenon is one, with different manifestations, or represents an array of intelligences is not crucial to this discussion. Whether this "otherness" be extra-terrestrial, inter dimensional, spiritual or physical is not so important at this time. What is important is that the people of our planet are being systematically denied information about this phenomenon, that witnesses are being ridiculed into silence, and that academic centers have refused to initiate even an introductory investigation concerning the presence of non-human intelligence. Rumors of a secret war being fought by so called "Black Operations" against et spacecraft have surfaced. Back engineering of flying saucers have been the declared efforts of government sanctioned UFO groups in China. It may turn out that some of the great scientific breakthroughs of the 20th century were the result of integrating extra-terrestrial technology into our industrial culture. How can enlightened people respond to this crisis? For those of us who are aware of these developments, what can we do?. One approach has been for citizen investigators to carry out their own research into the phenomenon. Limited resources and lack of access to the corporate or government controlled media has marginalized the impact of citizen investigators. Others who have experienced positive contact with non-human intelligence have formed loose networks. They are called "contactees" and have shared their experiences and beliefs with those few who are willing to listen. Despite the growing number of contacts and investigations, the flying saucer culture has continued to been marginalized by general society. The elites' programs of secrecy and denial, and the understandable fear of the masses of something so strange, have been major forces pushing this issue off the central stage that it rightfully deserves. What then is to be done? It is my hope that those who feel great love for our planet and its people and are working for peace, environmental protection and social justice, might be able to unite with those groups that are promoting contact. Such a notion is radical in the extreme. It is a process that should not be taken lightly. It would require nothing less than the creation of a new kind of revolutionary movement. One that could explore the links between acknowledging the presence of non-human intelligence, and finding solutions to the terrible problems that confront humanity. Such a peaceful revolutionary movement will likely face enormous obstacles. It is my judgment that it will require years to organize. Its true impact might not be felt for decades. The stakes are high enough however, the protection of our planet and the future of our civilization, that this concept should not be dismissed out of hand. I am suggesting that a peaceful democratic campaign promoting contact, could unite with the thousands of environmental, peace and social justice organizations that are currently in operation. Is such a notion possible? Given the tremendous changes that have transpired during the last 200 years, one might ask is not anything possible? One desired goal would be to establish planetary peace by banishing the aggressive nationalism that is so popular today. Another aim would be to extend the highest ideal of brother and sisterhood to non-human beings who are visiting our planet. Advanced life forms whether they be extraterrestrial or inter dimensional have likely evolved past the stage where warfare is the norm. Through world peace and cooperation on earth, opportunities for open exchange with such advanced cultures could be promoted on the basis of mutual respect and limited parity. In our current self destructive state, it is not realistic to expect us to have much to share with civilizations that would likely view us as technologically endowed savages. It is my hope that this discussion will inspire others to consider this alternative to the destructive path humanity is on.
