</A> -Cui Bono?-

When you take a look at this page remember that ITT based its
planning on what any other company look for, but if the Czech
Republic is stable what are they comparing it to?

Why are some of these wars happening now?

I seem to have ties to Austria and I was brought up
to NOT believe in blackmail. The person (idea) is dead,
long live their memory - the mindset of the person.

The ones that wanted control called the Hapsburgs
"Jailers of the Serbs" in the 1900's
yet if that was true why did technology go at such a fast pace?
What was wealth? The people and their ideas - EDUCATION!!!!
What is the difference in the Royal Families? Because they
are pushed from birth, they and their alegences are choosen
not from fads or because of chasing some skirt or pair of pants
but by what will help their country. Arraged marrages (allegences)
are a fact since you have to find someone that can help keep the
coolaboration of your people in balance. Rule by birth? Trained,
pushed because of being born in a royal house! Trained to be
President by birth? But anyone can do it, yes anyone can learn,
can be educationed but does everyone want the obligations that
go with leading? If you are pushed by other ideas do you want to
allow the people to have a

foundation - a national identity

or

are you going to try to take out all of their foundations and
history and national identities to be able to replace those
with a monoploy?

To circumvent all foundations, ALL Honor with altamations that
think your way.

Princess(s) or Prince(s) are a dime a dozen
Example: think of the Arabian harems
Just because you are the first born
does not mean that you will carry the ideas of the
family name to the next generation. It can be true the
only way out is to fall or should I say fail - to abicate
is not a option since the impirial WE is a reality and
the WE, the collaboration will still follow to find out
why one idea (person) failed to be able to keep the
next one from failing.

So, taking a person hostage (or a country) does not
count as control!

Now to tie this into the Thesis that I am developing
What is there in a
"Center of Education that would lead to it's down fall?
any time a major center of education was amassed, compiled, or
put together is was destroyed, why? The educational center was
pushed by other cultures, the children tested by the rules and morals
of that culture to see how the other culture might be able to
integrate the ideas or to control the desirable education.
Killing the Goose that laid the golden egg.

                            Cottex, Hualon

The Joint Venture Department assisted in the successful
acquisition of the Czech Company Cottex Hronov by
Textonnia, the Malaysian subsidiary of the Hualon Group
of Taiwan. Cottex Hronov had been undergoing
bankruptcy proceedings for two years at the time of the
acquisition. The new company, Textonnia Czech Ltd., will
be completely restructured and modernised to produce
textile fabrics of the highest quality. Total investment
should reach $ 23 million and create 1000 jobs.

                                  Arrow

In the case of Arrow International. a manufacturer of
medical equipment. CzechInvest provided extensive
support in dealing with local legal procedures involved in
establishing a new greenfield production facility of
advanced technological equipment.

Arrow selected the historical city of Hradec Krlov in
which to invest $15 million. The city was selected due to
the need to locate the manufacturing operation close to the
most capable and highly developed cardiology surgical
facility in Central-Eastern Europe, found in the city's
Faculty of Medicine of Charles University.

         Matsushita Electric (Panasonic, Technics)

In January 1996 Matsushita Electric Industrial
Co., manufacturer of the Panasonic, Technics
and Quasar brand names, announced its
decision to invest US$ 66 million to create a
new Czech subsidiary, Matsushita Television
Central Europe Ltd. The company has built a
new manufacturing facility in Plzen (Pilsen) in
Western Bohemia to produce Panasonic
TVs. The project was the first major
Japanese greenfield investment in the Czech
Republic and the companys first in the
emerging market countries. This project is the
most successful investment in operation
mediated by CzechInvest to date.

Construction works started in June 1996 and mass production commenced in
April 1997. Matsushita
chose the Bory Fields Municipal Industrial Park as a site for its plant.
Plzen benefits from a very
favourable location on the motorway from Prague to the German border
which allows companies
based here to export their Czech-made products to the European Union at
a low cost. Plzen also has a
very skilled workforce due to the long industrial heritage of the city
and a technical university with a
major branch specialised in electrical engineering. This makes the city
of Plzen an excellent location for
high-tech manufacturers.

Matsushita has been so pleased with the fast start of its Panasonic
TV-set plant in Plzen, western
Bohemia, that it announced in November 1998 a major expansion project to
be carried out until 2002.
The existing plant in Plzen has broken several Matsushitas world
records - it was the
fastest-completed TV-set plant that Matsushita ever built, the fastest
start-up (mass production started
10 month after the construction started), and it had the lowest initial
percentage of internal rejects.
Furthermore, the plant is expected to become profitable in the third
year since the start of production,
which is a unique achievement in Matsushitas history.

The expansion plan includes two projects. Firstly, the annual output
will rise from 1 to 2 million TV-sets
in the next four years. Secondly, the Plzen plant will start
manufacturing digital TV-sets for European
markets. The total amount of investment is expected to rise from the
planned US$ 66 million to nearly
US$ 100 million. Before 2002, 300 new employees will be hired to join
the existing staff of 600.

It is expected that Matsushitas project will boost the local supplier
base and encourage Matsushitas
Japanese and European suppliers to locate in Plzen. The Bory Fields
Industrial Park still can
accommodate few other investors.

                              Schade KG

Schade KG, a German manufacturer of automotive
components. had been trying to establish a manufacturing
presence in the Czech Republic for two years without
success. Following contact with CzechInvest in 1994, the
agency provided alternative site options and expedited the
negotiation process.

Schade invested DM 50 million to purchase CZ Blatn's
existing facilities and refit with completely new technology.
The specialised plant manufactures door frames and roof
strips for Audi, Volvo and Mitsubishi. Currently 450 are
employed in an area with 7% unemployment. Schade had been considering
re-locating to France or the
UK to reduce its labour costs before deciding on the Crech Republic.
Further investment is possible as
German labour costs continue to pressure manufacturers.

                            Canstar (Nike)

A part of the world-wide Nike Corporation, Canstar of
Canada, established a manufacturing presence in the form
of a greenfield project at Zdr nad Szavou in South
Moravia, a town approximately 130 kilometres east of
Prague. Currently, Canstar employs more than 400 people
and has, to date, invested $10 million. At Zdr nad Szavou,
the company manufactures Bauer Ice and In Line skates,
exporting 95% of production to over 20 countries in Europe.
Both Nike and Canstar are suppliers to the Czech National
Ice Hockey Team.

                                    ITT

When ITT was planning to build a new plant to
manufacture passenger car brake boosters in the region, the
Czech Republic was considered along with Poland.
Hungary and Slovakia. CzechInvest provided ITT with
information ranging from macro-economic conditions to the
labour situation that influenced ITT to select the Czech
Republic.

The decisive factors affecting ITT's decision were the country's
economic and political stability. The
high skill level of the labour force and low manufacturing costs also
weighed heavily in the Czech
Republic's favour. Through its regional network and local company
contacts, CzechInvest was able to
put ITT in contact with local construction companies personnel
management consultancies, and provide
inspection tours of 45 potential sites to build a new plant. The city of
Jicn was finally decided upon as
the location. The total investment ITT has pledged is $15 million.
