Just when you thought it was safe to take supplements willy-nilly comes the
news that you best be careful about how you combine the substances found at
the health food store with real, regulated drugs. At least one drugstore
chains is deciding to do something about the confusion. CVS Corp. of
Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a fixture in malls and on street corners across the
fruited plain, is starting to keep track of the herbal supplements powered
down by its customers, so as to avoid potentially harmful clashes with
prescription drugs. CVS runs the supplements against an internal database to
determine if health conflicts might exist. All information is confidential,
according to  the drugstore chain.......
