There is some evidence that the oil companies are moving prices up and down
for whatever political purpose they espouse at the time. The IPAA put out a
press release in Dec l999 which was entitled "IPAA Warns Administration:
Forcing Down World Oil Prices Will Damage U.S. Producers." They also had
issued papers condeming Bradley, Gore, and McCain as nominees for the
presidency. That leave George W. as their candidate. A headline in our
paper just a few days ago, said that the Republicans were welcoming the
higher oil prices, because they felt it would make voters angry with the
present administration and send votes to the Republican candidates or keep
voters away from the polls entirely which the Republican party also favors.
Isn't it interesting to note how right Mr. Nader is when he says that
corporations are behind our every move. Prudy
