I would like to complain
about the way June is treating me.
Will someone please explain to her
that she is flaming me and ask her to stop?

As I mentioned in previous
emails:
1. Foxter seems unable to read and
comprehend correctly
2. I run a couple of
lists on Onelist; because of this,
I subscribe to both the Onelist
moderators list, plus the email
list devoted to the Onelist/eGroups merger. The
Family Filter has been a recent
topic of discussion on these lists.
The Family Filter has absolutely NO
effect on email, either in sending it or in receiving it. What it
DOES do is limit access to 'adult' groups on the website; if the filter is
turned on, one can't access one's lists if they are rated 'adult', even
if you are already subscribed, and even if you are owner/moderator of
the list (and acknowledged bug).
The filter also affects what lists are
displayed when searching for lists on the website.
>HOW TO
*TURN OFF* THE "FAMILY FILTER" >Go to www.onelist.com
An easier way is to
go to http://www.onelist.com/family
>I
suggest you write and complain,
It won't accomplish anything.
List owners on the owner's email list have already complained, and it's
been acknowledged that the family filter thing was handled badly.
Spamming Onlist/eGroups management won't accomplish
anything.
>I noticed that I >was not receiving a lot of my
Onelist mail and my lists seemed >abnormally quiet for the last couple
of days.
Then you were experiencing some other problem than the family
filter. As I mentioned above, the filter does NOT affect sending and
receiving email to any list on Onelist, even those rated 'adult'; it
only affects accessing the lists via the website.
It was a couple
of days before I was aware of the filter being on, and there was never a
problem with me receiving email from Onelist lists, even those which I
don't own and are rated 'adult'; and no member of my lists (which ARE
rated adult) missed any email -- in fact, I warned them about this
filter via a post to my lists.
Perhaps Foxter sees a conspiracy in all
this, when only
incompetentcy suffices....
