This is the same guy who claims he was deep asleep when the INS
arrived...
Who claims they would have 'willingly' handed Elian over, and yet
grabbed Elian and ran into the back bedroom, locking the bedroom
door behind him (did he really think a cheap inner door would stop
anyone?)
Ran into a bedroom where an AP photographer just happened to be
already stationed.
Hardly sounds like they were taken by total surprise...
> The boy had been at sea for four days. He had

> boyfriend's parents drown.
We only have the kid's version of this.
Very strange that he supposedly floated around in an innertube for
3 or more days, and didn't get sunburned. Heck, he didn't even get
a tan. Also very strange that he wasn't dehydrated.
Oh, I forgot. It's a 'miracle'...
Also very strange that his mother supposedly dressed him in the
neon orange shirt and pants he was found in. I guess it was just
coincidence that such a strange outfit would be the one most
visible from a distance at sea...
> Their quest had been to reach America --
We have no idea what quest each person on that boat was persuing, but
from accounts of relatives they left behind, Elian's mother's boyfriend
was looking for work more than 'freedom', and Elian's mother was just
following her mealticket (and hormones) rather than persuing some vague
idea of 'liberty'...and by kidnapping her son and putting him on that
boat, she's guilty of gross negligence towards her son...
> Many in Miami's Cuban community considered
> his survival an act of God -- a miracle.
Some of us are a little more skeptical of this claim of Divine
intervention...
> In the months since he had found Elian at sea,
> Dalrymple had developed a bond with the boy
Laying in bed with Elian watching videos, and getting off on Elian
licking him. I suppose in some quarters such inappropriate
behavior is considered 'bonding'...

Had been granted TEMPORARY custody by the INS...
> Almost every day, he would break off

Completely ignoring his wife back home. So much for 'family values'...
> Every day at 8 p.m., like clockwork, great-uncle
> Lazaro would send Elian off to bed, but
> Dalrymple often would hang around chatting

And by his own account lay with Elian in his bed and have Elian lick
him...
> Arriving home, he drifted off to sleep on a
> couch. Then at 10 p.m., he awoke to hear an
> alarming bulletin on the radio: The Justice

Hmmmm...both he and Marisleysis have repeatedly claimed they had no
idea the INS was going to show up that night...
This guy is a lousy liar. He'll say anything, as long as it will
keep himself in the limelight...
Kato Kaelin East.

> "The photographer made his way into the house

The photographer stated in the first news reports that he had spent
the night in the house. This story has cThere was no way for the photographer to
have gotten into that bedroom AFTER The Housecleaner ran in there.
It's a tiny room. The bed takes up most of the space. The
photographer had to get through the door and over the bed to get to
the far corner against the back wall to take the infamous photo...
Highly unlikely that he would have been able to achieve this position
AFTER the INS agents entered the room...
> Four others had made it into the closed
> bedroom with Dalrymple and Elian: Lazaro's
> wife Angela, her niece, the niece's young son,
> and Associated Press photographer Alan Diaz.
Fishy story from the pseudo-fisherman.
In this version he is claiming the photographer entered the house
with the INS agents...a whole slew of agents, streaming in from
both the front and back doors.
And yet somehow the photographer gets into the bedroom behind a
closed and locked door before any INS agent?
> As Dalrymple, holding the now-terrified Elian,
> tried to wedge himself into a cramped closet,
> the niece and her son scrambled around to the

> Photographer Diaz wedged himself up against

So we at least now have them admitting that Diaz was in the room BEFORE
the INS entered...but we are expected to believe that he was picked out
of the group of milling INS agents and 'just happened' to be tossed into
the bedroom along with Dalrymple, Elian, Angela and her son...the INS
just standing by while this happened...
> "I was trying to get into the closet as much as I
> could, but there was no way to go," said
> Dalrymple.
Oh really? He was shown on CNN afterwards disclaiming he was trying to
hide in the closet...
> "So I asked [Diaz], is there a way out
> of here? Can we do something? And he said,
> 'Donato, just relax, there's no way out. This is it,
> man.'"
Uhhh...he just told us that Diaz had just shown up with the INS. How
then would Diaz know of another way out? If indeed the story is as
The Janitor would have us believe, it would have made more sense to
have asked Angela if there was a way to escape, not a stranger who
had just entered the house a minute before...
A stranger who, if entering the house along with the INS, would
seemingly be part of the INS, and should have been considered part of
'the enemy'...so why would you ask such a person if there was a way
to escape from the bedroom?
A person has to be very intelligent and very clever to be a good liar.
The Janitor is neither.
> "I heard bam, one, then, bam, two," said
> Dalrymple. "They were hitting the door with a

Then why is a door visible in the photo?
> "The soldier and the lady snatched the boy and
> they threw the blanket over him," says
> Dalrymple. "And then we're going out. And
> maybe it was stupid or not, but I followed as the
> guy was backing out of the room with the gun
> on me."
Or it's a sign that he in fact did NOT feel he was in a life-threatening
situation...
> "There was no knocking," said Dalrymple, who
> was right by the door. "I would have answered
> it."
And yet until now he's claimed to have been in a deep sleep when the
INS arrived.
