Martin King was assassinated because he came out and said that as long as
there was this kind of economic system CAPITALISM, it would produce poor
people. Especially poor black and brown people. He was about to start his
future campaigns denouncing capitalism. That and his late stance against
the Vietnam war sealed his fate.
The powers that be are capitalist, and won't tolerate the advocacy for
a just economic system that would prevent them from stealing everything
that isn't nailed down. They didn't kill him because he was anti war.
Many prominent people were anti war. But when you mess with the system
developed by and for the rich...
