I have no problem with the idea of massive killings in the Russia even before it
became the USSR, but certainly more widespread after 1917. It is a historic fact that
vast numbers of people were killed. What I have a problem with is the idea that the
government was "Jew dominated", especially when many of the victims of the purges were
Jews. How can you eat your cake and have it too? If the Jews are "conspiring" to
bring down the white race then why is it that the "Jew dominated" government of Russia
purged and killed so many Jews? Why has there been widespread oppression against Jews
in Russia for years (even in the time of the Tsars)?
The viewpoint of Russian anti-semitism comes on the heels of the belief that the
Russian Orthodox church was the last vestige of true religion, and they had a duty to
uphold the "old belief". Part of that old belief was the old saw that Jews were
responsible for the death of Christ, and were "fair game" for oppression.
The purges and killing in the USSR were, in my view, the result of a purposeful
embracing of the materialist view of atheistic secular institutions, which had no
concept or care for the value of human life. The solidification of power and fear of
its loss fuelled the pogroms. Jews died more than others because they were already a
target and disenfranchised. I don't believe the government was Jew dominated.
