f-4 Phantoms were a premier ground attack fighter in Vietnam. The FARC now have SAMs and I am getting that from a source in addition David Goldman's earlier posting. The Europeans want to prevent the war that is already starting to erupt because they want to be able to sell their consumer goods and get their hands on some of that cocaine cash.
