Odd as it may seem, I don't want to attack all politicians. Politics is,
after all, the art of the applied compromise, the art of the possible, and
politicians who don't compromise either turn into dictators or get turned
out of office. It's the only real way to run a government at any level.
Bush and, to a lesser extent, Gore represent something quite different:
aristocratic dynasty. Governor Death hasn't got the brains to run for
office on his own, without his daddy's money paving the way for him and his
daddy's minions telling him what to say. Gore really does think for
himself; the trouble with him is that he is also his daddy's son, and his
daddy was one of the biggest wheelers and dealers in the U.S. Senate. As
for Ralph Nader, well, I honestly don't know exactly what to think about him
at this point. The only thing I know definitely at this point is that I DO
NOT want the Goppers to keep control of anything. I want the Republicans
OUT of the Congress. I want to keep them OUT of the White House. I want to
get them OUT of every statehouse in the country. They are DANGEROUS, much
more dangerous than the Democrats IMO. The only person more dangerous than
the Republicans at this point is Patrick Buchanan.
There. That should give the flamers plenty of ammunition with which to
attack me... I only wonder if they have the courage to discuss this
rationally.
