Hmm.Seems to me you have a lot of misguided faith in "the powerless"
and "the people."
Most tyrannts were brought to power by "the people."
Most tyrannts throughout history first appeal to "the powerless."
The "people" are generally ignorant, apathetic, or mainly self interested
and easily mislead. Protect me from "the people."
I fear goverment whether it is run by "the people" or elites (or "the people"
led by elites).
It usually will "level the playing field" with tanks.
