We need self government. We do not need the state.

First of all, we don't have "a" form of government. We have many. They
are all small gangs of armed extotionists. Their differences are of
style, not of substance. I oppose all forms of government except direct,
participatory self government, a free association of equals. I do not
believe in allowing a tiny gang of armed extortionists coerce us into
doing their bidding.
Anarchy doesn't mean out of control. It means out of THEIR control.
We anarchists are perfectly capable of getting along on our own. The
rest of you certainly have the potential. The overwhelming majority of
the people on earth spend the overwhelming majority of their time
peacably cooperating of their own free will. Why? Because even the
dumbest can see it benefits them to get along with the people around
them. No matter what you want you get it from other people. Want bread?
Go to a baker. Want flour? Go to a miller. Want wheat? Go to a farmer.
That's how it is.
And I ask you this: without the gun and the club of the state to keep
you in line, would you personally run amok?
I didn't think so.
