-Caveat Lector-
>Duncan has read this list and has been in archives until he begins to
>sound like certain people on this list.
>There are numerous Nexus Magazines - but Duncan, you sound like many
>different people.
>Who and what are you really Duncan - home brewed stuff in disguise -
>however, you do spell organization "organisatio" which is indicative of
>possible Australian extraction?
NEXUS Magazine is proudly Australian! Australia uses British spelling
for English, so most words you have using a 'z' (which we pronounce 'zed'
not 'zee') have an 's'. So, yes, 'organisation' is the correct spelling
for the rest of the world outside of America.
As to who and what am I really? I'll spare you the full half-hour rave,
but suffice to say that one day I looked around at the world (when I was
14) and decided that it needed improving. After a few years of
meditating, vegetarianising, etc I decided then that the only true
permanent change comes from within each person, with conscious desire.
(ie you cannot force true change onto people). So since then I have
dedicated my life working for groups, organisations, and charities which
educated people with information on alternative health, alternative
philosophies, environmental awareness etc.
About 15 years ago, I became increasingly aware that global and local
problems were no accident. Many are/were deliberately created and
maintained. By that stage on I was on umpteen executive committees,
meeting with politicians, mayors, community leaders etc. I pursued my
private research into 'conspiracies', whilst working for a couple of
'alternative' media publications in Australia.
Ten years ago I got the chance to obtain my own magazine, NEXUS. I
ditched the new age stuff, the women's issues, the pagan/occult stuff,
and most of the envionmental content. I figured there were already
enough mags dedicated to those subjects on the newstands in Australia. I
wanted to branch out into my favourites, ie alternative health (without
the glossy health pap served up by soy mulitnationals); future science;
the unexplained, and 'conspiracies'.
>So it is all in the game, Duncan.....you called this lady a Bimbo for
>expressing her views? What is a Bimbo, for recently an asshole called
>me a Bimbo on line, which I ignored........
I agree that I overreacted, but at least I did more than just smear. I
provided qualified info, mainly from my own 15 years involvement with a
so-called 'new age movement' and I am telling you, there is no way in the
world that these millions of people and their relevant groups and orgs
are united on any one agenda. They ALL squabble, fight, disagree, steal
staff, lists etc. Most all are total hypocrites to their declared ideals
to boot.
As much as I believe the 'new age industry' to be sickening, to imply
that all consumers to that market sector are involved in a massive
conspiracy to kill all Jews is laughable.
The only people threatened by what is called the 'new age movement' are
established religions! Period!
>Who and what are you really Duncan - but I sitll like to read your
>magazine and you sure as hell - well one could say you are self
>serving......now I see why this one woman was virtually run off this
>list, because she liked Ickes....2 and 2 - 4; many people who preferred
>to reac Ickes seem to get kicked at with railing accusations?
Icke is another great example of 2 + 2 = 5. After favourably mentioning
NEXUS at every lecture, we failed to review an Icke book one day, and
since then we have been 'out of favour'. Worse still, Icke started
claiming that Laurence Gardner and Secharia Sitchin were reptilian shape
shifting alien who eats babies at satanic sacrifices. Of course, true
Icke believers overlooked the fact that BOTH these popular speakers were
trafficking information that CONTRADICTED Icke's favoured view of the
universe at the point. Rather than debate point by point, Icke resorted
to smearing the people to disqualify their info.
I called him on it, and an email row ensued. To this day I maintain that
Icke is wrong on these two guys. (I am not commenting on the rest of
Icke's theories, because none of them are his own anyway - they all came
from other sources, now with his name on them).
As for self-serving, how can I not be? I mean, I am the magazine owner,
editor and all-round interneter, advertising sales person, etc. We
employ 4 people at NEXUS, and we now print in many countries in several
languages. It is purely driven by people wanting the magazine. We
rarely advertise, I am too disorganised to promote properly, and besides,
I don't have the spare cash to do so.
So when you see me on the list (in between deadlines) it is only because
I have had my 'buttons' pressed by someone mouthing off on a subject that
I know of.
(Back on Steve Wingate's UFO list, I entered the soy debate because some
bimbos were telling the list that soy products were all okay, and that
the meat and dairy industry had funded our article. I FUNDED THAT
BLEEDING ARTICLE, because I know from hundreds of readers that soy
products are NOT all that good for you, and for some people they are
downright dangerous. As a result I got kicked off that list for refusing
to back off from posting facts in reply to ignorant postings by pro-soy
advocates)
Sigh, I am raving.
For those who bean count, I apologise for using the word NEXUS too often.
For those who are bored reading all this I apologise.
For those offended by me calling Hannah a bimbo, tough titties. If the
woman did any decent research she would write to this list and apologise!
regards all
Duncan
