and how does that make them different from capitalists?
If I have ever met anyone with a twisted view of human nature it was my
economics professor who seemed to believe (as all economists do) that people
act in the market rationally, and in their own best interest...which does
not explain the amount of money spent on Pokemon, Junk Food, etc...

This is an example of fuzzy thinking.
There is no real difference between communism and capitalism - merely
a substitution of one elite (the party elite) for the old elite (the
capitalist elite).
Capitalism and Communism cannot exist without the active participation of
the
State. Capitalism is created out of whole cloth through Statism. Communism
can only exist through Statism.
Those who "believe" in "real communism" really do..."believe."
Belief in Communism is faith based. It is as irrational to believe in
Communism
as it is to believe in any other faith based religious system. It is no mere
coincidence that Marx came from a long line of Rabbis
I have more respect for those who admit their religiousity. Most religious
types
at least admit their religion is not rationally based but is faith based.
