It is actually much worse than this.
Your message indicates that you consider the
sad plight of the U.S. Military to be the result
of bad management and "politics as usual" determining
who gets big defence contracts coupled with
a variety of things such as ineptitude, incompetence,
and ignorance.
Granted...all of these are a part of the equation.
However there is a much bigger reason why our
military is such a sorry state.
Ask yourself this question:
If Bill Clinton had come into the White House with
a secret mission to undermine and weaken the
U.S. Military, to destroy its morale and much of
its combat effectiveness....could he have done
a more effective job than he has done?
He opened the doors to allow "gays' into the
military....not to obtain fairness for gays but to
undermine morale and to foment unrest in the ranks.
He pushed for women to be given "equal treatment
and equal assignments" in the military....not to
obtain fairness for women but to severely damage
the combat capabilities of our "ready forces" and to
damage the authority of the "chain of command".
He ordered severe reductions in our troop strength
and then ordered our reduced forces into numerous
(and unlawful) UN "Peacekeeping Missions" all over
the world. Under Clinton's leadership, U.S. military
committments and military presences have grown to
the greatest extent ever in "peacetime".
U.S. Forces are now so farflung, we have a military
presence in more than 100 countries...more than at
any time in history.
This worldwide deployment has greatly overtaxed
our downsized military. As a direct result, many
career personnel bailed out of the military because
of the hardships this caused to their families.
Please recall that Clinton is on record as stating
that he "loathes the military".
He has used his time as Comander in Chief to inflict
as much damage as he could on it.
Not by accident....not because of mismanagement...
not because of ignorance.
No!
This has all been strictly intentional.
He did it on purpose.
He deserves no benefit of doubt about this.
