might i suggest that regardless of the song being based on julian's drawing
(sounds farfetched really- lennon claims to have taken more tabs in those
two years than there were days- so julian may have drawn anything and john
woulda seen lucy and all the rest...)
anyway, regardless of the innocence (or not) of the influence for the song-
it is still an advertisment for acid.
when i was 10 our class teacher played us the track and told us it was
written after taking a drug- lsd. he made us draw pictures of scenes from
the song.
i wonder what percentage of the class made the same decision i did- i *had*
to try it as soon as possible.
