Why not Bomb Teheran?
February 20, 2001

Yesterday's London Telegraph reports, "Britain and the United States stood
fast . in the face of widespread international criticism of Friday's bombing
of Iraq, pledging that allied forces were ready to attack Saddam Hussein
again."

So, does this mean that we are at war with Iraq? Was I on vacation when
Congress passed a Declaration of War against Iraq? Or, is it now U.S. policy
to unilaterally bomb sovereign nations at will? If so, I would like to
recommend that we take this newfound imperial hegemony to America's real
enemies, namely Communist China and Iran.

In the grand scheme of things, Iraq might make honorable mention in the list
of nations that pose the most threat to the United States. Unlike Red China,
they have no long range ICBM's capable of hitting the continental United
States. And unlike Iran, they have no modern Kilo-class submarines, or a
fleet of naval vessels including minelayers, or anti-ship missiles stationed
at strategic points at the Straights of Hormuz allowing them the capability
of cutting off the flow of oil to the world (which they have threatened to
do).

Is Saddam Hussein a bad man? From all I've heard, yes. Are the atrocities
committed by his government any worse than those committed by Communist
China or Sudan? Not hardly. So, why does the United States not bomb Beijing,
or Khartoum, or Teheran?

The Communist Chinese have tortured and murdered millions. So has the
government of Sudan. Iran calls America "The Great Satan" and has promised
to destroy us. In fact, Iran will be hosting a confab of terrorist groups
this coming April. It is estimated that Iran contributes more than $100
million annually to terrorist activities. Furthermore, no nation has
developed weapons of mass destruction more prolifically than China and Iran
have.

Iran even boasts that it now has the ability to launch nuclear missiles with
a range of 5,500 kilometers and says it can strike parts of the United
States. Of course, China also has this capability and has repeatedly
threatened to destroy cities within the United States.

A report by the CIA predicts that Iran will launch an intercontinental
ballistic missile by 2005. The report further states that such a missile
would be capable of delivering a nuclear weapon-sized payload to the United
States.

World Net Daily recently reported, "Iran represents a clear and present
danger to the national security interests of the United States and directly
threatens the balance of power in the Middle East. Iran has continued to
move forward with its weapons-development programs and continues to support
anti-U.S. terrorist organizations."

So, when can we expect U.S. attack aircraft to bomb Beijing and Teheran? Don
't hold your breath waiting.

According to World Tribune, "Administration officials said President George
Bush will quietly launch an effort to improve relations with the Islamic
Republic [Iran]." The report also said ".the Bush administration wants to
encourage a dialogue with Teheran on trade and regional security while
cracking down on neighboring Iraq."

The United States will not attack any nation that it wants to trade with:
that's the bottom line. These decisions to bomb or not to bomb are made, not
at the Pentagon or at the White House, but in the boardrooms of
international business.

Therefore, not only are we killing people and blowing up things in Baghdad,
but also we are making life less competitive for Teheran. That means better
trade deals for the architects of the New World Order and more money in the
coffers of government leaders.
