>First, direct observational evidence of a change in the Earth's greenhouse >effect between 1970 and 1997 The Chicken Little's who wail about "global warming" or the "greenhouse
effect" are
pathetic in their ignorance.
Over the earth's history, the climatic changes have been dramatic and ofen
sudden -
from a humid tropical climate to artic frigid conditions. One thousand
years ago the
world's climate was much warmer then today - the North Atlantic was ice
free and
permitted the Vikings to easily sail to North America.
The major forces effecting climate are: 1. tilt of the earth which can
change over time
causing dramatic climate change; 2. fluctuations of the sun's energy output
- long term
solar flaring; 3. deep underwater venting of the
earth's magma which can effect
ocean currents; 4. surface volcanic action.
Any climate change caused by Man's activity is absolutely puny by
comparison.
The real environmental destruction caused by man is overpopulation
which results
in the destruction of the eco system. However in the long term that is not
really
a problem since Mother Nature has a way to
deal with overpopulation - namely war,
disease or starvation.
