-Caveat Lector-

fair enough amelia
i was thinking more of hitler as an example of a far right "christian"
condemning the jews for killing christ.
jewish religion/politics bit was expressed wrongly maybe- i meant that flw's
examples were about nationalities- not religions e.g americans killing
lincoln, not christians killing lincoln. would someone living in jerusalem
be a jew even if they were not jewish or is there another word for the state
at that time. was it palestine? and if it was a mixed crowd that called for
barrabas and not christ then it was the palestinians who killed christ. i
was meaning to poke fun at flw and the idea of "jews killed christ" because
i thought that it was generally accepted that the parable of christ could
have happened anywhere- in any religion (and has) and it was "man" who
killed christ, not one group of people, so it *is* offensive to pick out the
fact that it was the jewish race in which he appeared- there is implicit
condemnation in the mentioning of it. i thought we were meant to learn that
it could have been any plebicite, anywhere and at anytime that would have
crucified him- it is a central theme of the religion, isn't it? communion
and that.
actually- to clarify- i am anti- zionist and anti- monotheistic extremists/
fanatics/ fundamentalists everywhere! they all condemn everything- just the
same as extreme political correctness does. jesus christ, do i really have
to be a liberal or a right winger? they are all the same aren't they? people
are so fucked out on taking sides and believing in stuff and then pointing
out everyone that doesn't. or not letting it lie about a crime 2000 years
ago. to engender fear. utterly feudal.
