-Caveat Lector- The text of the tenth amendment follows: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or the people." Short and sweet? This amendment is really an exercise in redundancy since the Constition is very specific in what powers the Federal Government has. Powers not assigned to the Federal Governement are obviously left to the states and to the people.All members of congress and the president and the vice president's oath of office contain wording that they will uphold and defend the Untited States Constituiton. Obviously then every law, executive order (they are all unconstitional by the way) etc... that the Federal Government imposes on us that violates the constitution also violates there oath of office!!
