Race Riot in England
last night amidst a climate of political
persecution where politicians describe england as a mongrel race and far right
candidates are emerging to stand for election seats -
Race Riot erupted in Oldham in Greater manchester -
the english midlands.
Asians were attacked by nazi yobs and this
triggered scenes of social devastation with cars being overturned and petrol
bombs thrown.
The nazi yobs escaped - but the asian crowd in
anger turned on the english police for a runningbattle that lasted all
night.
The Asian community is an underpriveleged ghetto
with high unemployment rates and comprises 15% of the population.
A scottish family in an english midlands town
complain of being threatened with violence, and petrol and have had missiles
thrown through their window.
The English Midlands is traditionally a
powderkeg.
Southern England is considered a rich utopia, but
north of the town of Watford at a pass in the southern dividing hills the
watford gap - from watford to northern scotland - the land is a poor, distraught
third world country recently reported by the german magazine STERN.
Traditionally, English media have tried to foment
nationalism to keep the English poor from unifying with the Scottish poor - but
the most violent record of social unrest is not the scots but the hard boiled
english who riot on a regular basis eg. Liverpool riots against the poll
tax.
The rise of English nationalism amongst a streak of
xenophobia is going to be ugly - and nor are the scots lily white and blame free
- the bosnian refugees of sprinburn glasgow are regularly harrassed because they
are perceived to be getting special treatment not available to the scottish
poor.
This is probably true - but not any excuse for
racist abuse.
The seeds of dissatisfaction in northern england
and scotland are taking roots in hotbeds of poverty,
where northern britain has the worst deal anywhere
outside of bangladesh.
In fact a disaster area in india or africa will get
more medical attention and nourishment than most scots or
yorkshiremen.
