A real person would realize that I obviously know that. But the dams are
already there (!) and the water has to eventually move through them
regardless. Increasing the flow during peak hours to suppliment power
demands is just business as usual. Just check out the flows out of Lake
Powell into the Grand Canyon for example. The peak flows help with power
demands and make extra money for the dam operators. The fish and
environment are already changed long ago and the use of hydroelectric
power does not contribute incrementally to pollution. In fact hydroelectric is
completely renewable, does not cause global warming, and is basically
free (except for the environmental consequences of building a dam in the
first place). Not that I am for building new dams...
But, FYI, TVA has

Did not know that. But I think much of the supplimental power comes from
other sources, not TVA. Bush's friends at Enron and Reliant Energy, et. al.
are making billions off of California, the bastards.

We will all be paying even more for energy thanks to Bush Oil. Our hope is
that the Democrats will stall most of Bush's programs in the Senate.
