As a reactionary response. They really want to be Liberal but
the radicals won't let them get away with implementing Corporate
Capitalism no matter how it is couched.

Nothing new here. This works sometimes, and sometimes not. If they are too
tough on the protesters, they will be seen as the Fascists they are and
that will blow their Liberal cover. The European masses are much smarter
than Americans. They have a long history of being fucked by their elites
and it doesn't take them long to show them that numbers count.

This is a good analysis, and probably correct.
But they might not get away with it. I think they were always destined to fail.
If you go to the archives, you will find postings by me from years ago that
said as much.

No they are not. Blair is VERY afraid of pushing the New European Order's
agenda at this point. Especially accepting the Euro. The Brits don't want
it. If they can't hornswaggle the public, the EU is over. I think this will
happen.
