I think you need a reality dose. It is happening right now and the "brain
dead" in DC want it to happen. I am not saying this is "good" or "bad" -
just that it is happening.

You have a point. However that is why Mexico recently changed its laws
to permit Mexican Americans to have dual citizenship, vote in Mexican
elections from the US and even run for office in Mexico from the US!
If what you said is true then long time Mexican Americans would favor
restrictive immigration....and they do not. Mexican Americans vote
overwhelmingly for those who advocate unrestricted immigration.
Another interesting fact is that in parts of LA (and suburbs) 1st and
2nd generation Mexican American speak very little english and their
primary language is Spanish.
The long term problem for the US is not a "Mexican American" problem
or any immigrant ethnic problem, it is a problem of overpopulation and
immigration is the primary cause of the explosion in the US population over
the past 50 years. Nothing degrades the environment more the population
density.
