I don't think many of the inhabitants of Palestine were ever nomadic.  And
like the residents of Europe, the peoples of the Middle East are divided by
the boundaries of their respective countries.  I never learned to tell a Turk
from a Syrian or even a Greek just by looking.  In many cases, even the
languages are the same.  Can the Israeli tell a Jordanian from a Palestinian
without asking?  If I was going by looks alone, I would not be able to swear
who was a Jew and who was a Moslem unless they were wearing specific
headgear.   I would also say that they all share good and bad characteristics
with their fellow human beings of whatever race, culture or religion.  And no
those human beings haven't gotten better no matter what Aldous Huxley says.
