Cochran spoke to thousands of folks in Anniston Tuesday night, about filing a class-action lawsuit against the Solutia company. Thousands of Anniston residents packed the Anniston entertainment center Tuesday night, eager to hear what Johnnie Cochran could do for them. Earlier this year, the chemical company Solutia, formerly Monsanto, paid $43 million to settle a class action lawsuit over PCB contamination. But Cochran is considering another lawsuit, fearful that many got left out the first time. Dozens spoke at microphones, telling Cochran of their families' health problems and asking him for help in their battle with the chemical giant. Cochran told the people that they are like so many Davids going up against Goliath. "You can change this town," said Cochran. People who turned out are looking for some sign of hope, and they think Johnnie Cochran may be able to deliver it.
