Control of a country's borders is not racist.
Neither is limiting immigration in order to moderate
a country's population density.
However if a country does permit immigration, only allowing
approved racial / ethnic / religious types to become residents
or citizens is undeniably racist.
The question of US immigration is not one of creating racist, ethnic
barriers, it is simply a matter of population control and standard of
living protection.
The US population has DOUBLED in the past 50 years mainly due to
mass illegal and legal immigration (totally the immigrants and their
children and childrens children).
Nothing degrades and destroys the enviornment more then population
density. Nothing degrades the wages of low income workers more then
illegal immigration (that is why the Corporate Republicans love
immigration). This is especially so when one considers that every
American uses the resources of 12 others in the world.
To equate Israel's policy of only accepting immigrants of approved
religion or ethnic pedigree with basic border control is sophistry.
