-Caveat Lector- Nakano many people were aware something wrong here and someone decided the planes should not be grounded.
Years ago when my relative was CO at Hills Air Force Base there had bee a few accidents and this one young Major killed leaving small cihldren..... Do not remember all the details by this CO grounded ALL the planes and said it was a bad rudder.....he countermanded an order to keep them flying. I say this he had been one of Vandenbergs men and still wore his Joint Chief of Staff badge and nobody tried to take him on. Investigators came and it was discovered the plan had a bad rudder. Think this was case of some type of sabotage...this report showed weaknesses but the way that plane fell apart - it was like vibrations shook off the engines.....now my brother in law knew planes and was an experienced pilot having flowing bomber planes in WWII from Wycombe - over white cliffs of Dover.......he sincerely believed a pilot should be able to bring down his plane under any conditions - but this was impossible and since this time - once on a Jet Plan with hunreds of other people you life is in the hands of the pilot. I only say this had my relative been around he would have not flowin in that plane or piloted it - and there would have been hell to pay with it still in the air waiting for sabitage or accident.... After all sabotuers always hit where you are most vulnerable - government was too quick to say this was just accident and why - my guess is, as ABC Channel 6 reporter once said "well nobody important was aboard". Common sense would have dictated these planes be grounded and then the filing of many lawsuits against the guy who made the planes and check out those groundcrews ....... too many people knew about this plane. Who was it John Tower died in one - yet he was being taken over coals at the time and think Heiz as I recall also died in one of these comuter planes. Twice my relative had to bring down a plane - full of bullet holes and wounded - but he managed to so do - but the worse case of jitters he got was flying off a ship one time and the plane looked like it was going to ditch but he got it up. Experienced pilots should know their planes.......Gus Grissoms son is just now saying the Apollo was sabotaged and his father murdered - I knew this in 1969- and this was the one time my relative told me to knock it off - for one did not speak of sabotage and he feared for my safety (and it was the bible calendar that clued me in on that one). So nobody important aboard - now if it had been full of Hollywood movie stars doing the Watusi or something - well this is one case they will not close and the fingers now begin to point......I would want to know the pedigree of the ground crew back to Adam and Eve before I got on any plane these days. Too many accidents ships and planes.....and Twin Towers? What was it Putin said - seems like all accidents come in threes? Would loved to have asked him what he thought about the Challenger and Apollo?
