-Caveat Lector- Might add here there was no jew who signed the Declaration of Independence they were too busy operating slave ships on the high seas and cutting deals with the English to bring these "slaves" to America.
Further no jew was involved in the Continental Conventions or framing of the Constitution. Benjamin Franklin's chief contribution had to be the Article I, Section 8 to do with arts and sciences which includes copyrights - instigated by William Hogarth in England who was cause of first copyright act. Further there were many jews living in America - well not many as compared to the catholics and protestants, but prior to declaratiaon of independence the dream of the Calvert family from which my family descended, Lord Baltimore being in direct line back (the old families intermarried but not necessarily first cousins for they knew they would raise idiots like joshua2) So American was meant as a refuge from religious persecution you could take it or leave it. The Civil War down the road was not fought over slavery....and even the negros know that. In fact the prime goal was to return the Africians to their homeland........today they claim to have built Notre Dame. So on with the show......Why is it not know that a prominent Catholic, Charles Carrol of Carollton signed the Declaration of Independence? That a lot of Catholics worked on that constitution? No jews did however, as they were too busy bringing slaves to America as their contribution and what an investment. So just a thought. There is a small town not far me me called Carroll Ohio named after the family and it is still a small town, like stepping back to the past.
