Subject: [LIFE-GAZETTE] "The Blood of Abraham" by President Carter
The mainstay of President Carter's book as I recall from reading it in
the 80's was that the conflict in the Middle East goes back to the Book of
Genesis and the Covenants made between the Almighty and the peoples
(plural) living in that region. These Covenants are not to be taken
lightly. They constitute Deeds in Law, the Highest Law, to those of the
faiths involved. There is NO, I repeat NO, validity to the Israeli
Constitutional document, The Law of Return, unless the 5,000,000 Jews
migrating to Palestine and displacing millions of Palestinians can prove
that they are the beneficiaries to this "Deed to the Holy Land". Can they
prove that they are more closely the descendents of Jacob (Israel) than
Esau; or Sara than Hagar? If so, what is that proof? If you want a Middle
East settlement, you cannot run away from this matter and a consultation
with past President Carter might be wise. What Texan buys or sells land
without having lawyers or paralegals verify that the deed is bona fide?
Yet the fate of the world and the hapless people caught up in this great
tragedy of the Middle East are dependent on a Deed to the Holy Land which
has not been examined in detail by the experts in law and justice of the
USA or other countries. What are the borders (north, south, east and
west) decreed for the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by the Almighty?
What are the borders for the other nations described in Genesis like those
of the children and grandchildren of Abraham by Hagar? Was land bequeathed
to the children and grandchildren of Abraham by Keturah? Who are the
closest relatives today to Abraham-Sara, Abraham-Hagar, Abraham-Keturah?
What is the proof of any such claims to ancestry? For that matter, what
is the proof of closer ancestry to Jacob than to Esau? How can JUSTICE be
done without verifying any claims to the deeds and wills from Genesis?
Perhaps General Ashcroft, with all his help from a huge staff at DOJ and
Bob Jones University will have some answers.
