Lawmakers push bid to fight sex crimes By Christopher Tangney, Globe
Correspondent, 2/24/02 - "State lawmakers are making a new push to address
the issue of sexual violence, and want the Swift administration to devote
more resources to the problem. Following charges of pedophilia among Catholic
priests in the Boston archdiocese, a series of sexual assaults outside the
Ashmont and Alewife MBTA stations, and rape allegations against Braintree and
Canton high school students, legislators and victims' rights groups say the
situation requires emergency measures. ''The O.J. Simpson case brought the
issue of of domestic violence to the forefront of public attention, and
recent events in Massachusetts no longer allow us to ignore the pervasive,
devastating, reality of sexual violence,'' said Judith Beals, executive
director of Jane Doe Inc., an advocacy group for domestic-violence and
sexual-assault victims.

DynCorp Charged with Terrorism Lawsuit Unites U.S. Workers &
Ecuador Farmers vs. Fumigation Part I of a Series By Al Giordano
A class-action lawsuit filed in Washington, DC, on behalf of 10,000 farmers
in Ecuador and the AFL-CIO allied International Labor Rights Fund has DynCorp
CEO Paul V. Lombardi running scared and lashing back with intimidation
tactics.
Lombardi's DynCorp, one of the top 20 federal contractors, has already
sprayed toxic herbicides over 14 percent of the entire land mass of the
nation of Colombia, purportedly to eliminate coca crops. Although DynCorp's
taxpayer-sponsored biological warfare has not made a dent in the cocaine
trade, it has caused more than 1,100 documented cases of illness among
citizens, destroyed untold acres of food crops, displaced tens of thousands
of peasant farmers, and harmed the fragile Amazon ecosystem, all in the name
of the "war on drugs." DynCorp has also been exposed for contracting
mercenary soldiers-of-fortune for the covert activities of the US-imposed

DynCorp Disgrace - 1/14/02 - By Kelly Patricia O'Meara - "Americans were seen
in Bosnia as defenders of the children, as shown here, until U.S. contractors
began buying children as personal sex slaves.... DynCorp, a U.S. contracting
company doing business in Bosnia. According to the Racketeer Influenced
Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) lawsuit filed in Texas on behalf of the
former DynCorp aircraft mechanic, "in the latter part of 1999 Johnston
learned that employees and supervisors from DynCorp were engaging in
perverse, illegal and inhumane behavior [and] were purchasing illegal
weapons, women, forged passports and [participating in] other immoral acts.
Johnston witnessed coworkers and supervisors literally buying and selling
women for their own personal enjoyment, and employees would brag about the
various ages and talents of the individual slaves they had purchased." Rather
than acknowledge and reward Johnston's effort to get this behavior stopped,
DynCorp fired him, forcing him into protective custody by the U.S. Army
Criminal Investigation Division (CID) until the investigators could get him
safely out of Kosovo and returned to the United States....For more than 50
years DynCorp, based in Reston, Va., has been a worldwide force providing
maintenance support to the U.S. military through contract field teams (CFTs).
As one of the federal government's top 25 contractors, DynCorp has received
nearly $1 billion since 1995 for these services and has deployed 181
personnel to Bosnia during the last six years."
