So, this is now generally completed. Modulo the below, I believe we can now consider ourselves Transitioned. The major thing I know of that's still in flux is that gmane still has the old info for the list, which means posting through there will still go to [email protected] (which is still active, at least for the moment, though the memberships are potentially drifting apart now). I submitted a request to change that a couple days ago, but it hasn't happened yet. Hacking season is now open! I have vague plans to cut a release sometime in the next few weeks or so. It's been about 2 years since 3.8.1, and while we haven't added any giant piles of new magic, there has been some cleanup and minor improvements. And with the new addresses of web and mail and such, it's probably worth getting that into released code as well. So, let's consider trunk in pre-release mode; give it plenty of testing, apply low-risk changes, but let's hold back landing significant rototilling or potentially destabilizing stuff until post-release. Thanks to Richard for the >decade during which he shepherded things along. During his tenure, ctwm completely failed to take over the world or cure hunger, but it did keep on chugging along, managing the windows of all the most intelligent and handsome X users on the planet. I hope to do as well (though I wouldn't feel _too_ bad if I managed to conquer the world too). -- Matthew Fuller (MF4839) | [email protected] Systems/Network Administrator | http://www.over-yonder.net/~fullermd/ On the Internet, nobody can hear you scream.
