That'd be me. I think having to do that is great and it keeps me from
opting for many other window managers and desktop environments. (And you
/can/ do stuff, like type into the previously focused window even if you
can't see that happening, it doesn't suddenly redirect your input into
something that may interpret it wholly differently: this is why all
focus-stealing is evil too.)

Not in mine! (-:

While I am writing anyway, in terms of modern applications going screwy
on ctwm because their interactions with X are deeply daft / nonsensical,
I would much support deprioritizing workarounds in favor of filing a bug
with them telling them exactly how their software is broken.
