One observation: it can happen with beta4, 3, 2, and 1.
When it happens, if I install a new ctwm binary (e.g., a different
version) and use kill -HUP to start it, the new ctwm will continue
producing the "bad address" messages. This even happens when the new
version is a 3.6 version.
FYI: While grepping for select statements, I noticed one occurrence of
"select(" while all others are "select (".
