I heard the theory that it might be ahcisata's fault, but I've just now tried with a USB drive: umass1 at uhub5 port 3 configuration 1 interface 0 umass1: LaCie Slim Blu-ray USB 3.0, rev 2.10/0.01, addr 5 umass1: using SCSI over Bulk-Only scsibus1 at umass1: 2 targets, 1 lun per target cd1 at scsibus1 target 0 lun 0: <TSSTcorp, BDDVDW SN-506BB, SB00> cdrom removable
and I had the same issue. I could use abcde once, but not a second time. Unplugging and replugging it worked, I could use abcde again. This is repeatable for me.
