 What is the reason why choosing not updating the article?  I do not
 think simply leaving the old description is a good idea, and we need
 a discussion about which should be maintained before replacing the
 existing links because currently administration.sgml and
 contributors/ article have some duplicated information.
It was discussed a long ago in a thread started by Joel, and before this particular change, as well. Gabor sent a mail to doc@ with proposed changes and nobody objected in removing these parts. One of the other suggestions was to try to make one list and generate both the web pages and the article from that one. That might be a better solution, but the doc and the www tree should be able to build separately, so I think it would be complicated to implement. I think there are other overlapping parts, like &os; and the current release entities. Maybe it would make sense to separate them to a common part somehow and use it for the web and the doc?
