Here's a suggested action plan based on what Claus has raised:
- We disable the use of xmltex for now. It just doesn't work
when building the Users' Guide. Perhaps it can be enabled
if explicitly requested, but configure won't use it by default.
- we make configure look for fop.sh as well as fop, as suggested
I think that pretty much covers it. It'll prevent people going down the
xmltex blind-alley (I did that too, but gave up earlier than Claus did).
Sven, as DocBook/XML king, do you agree?
