I don't think the bindists / Windows installer can easily provide both,
as I assume they'll want to use the same filenames. As far as I know the
plan is to use haddock 0.8 (well, hopefully 0.9 as I think there are
some important fixes in darcs), although you can of course use whichever
version you wish if you compile from source.
Right, the current plan is to switch to Haddock 2.0 for the next release of
GHC, 6.8.2. There's enough going on in this release already that I think
bringing in the new Haddock is a step too far. Once GHC 6.8.1 is out, we
have a stable compiler with which we can build and test Haddock 2.0.
