The current behaviour disrupts standard practices of alerting receivers
to messages of special interest or action items embedded in a message in
a thread they might not otherwise need to read.
So, the next time you cc an email to someone because of an in-message
note saying "(someone: could you please change this?)" or the like, you
might want to keep this effect in mind. Similarly, if you rely on being
cc-ed
in such ways. Otherwise, don't be surprised if your cc gets no reaction.
The message still gets CC'd properly, all that happens is that the message
that other list subscribers gets doesn't have all the CCs on it. I suppose
this is part of Mailman's clever logic that prevents you getting multiple
copies of a message.
In any case, I don't see this causing any real problems - the message still
gets CC'd. Actually I prefer *not* to be CC'd on list messages, because
they end up in my inbox rather than in proper list folder, but I suppose I
could work around that by changing my Mailman settings.
