That sounds like a misconfigured server.  Never heard of that response
though... What happens when you telnet to 10.0.0.0:2401?

Since SP6 is about 3 years old and contains vital security fixes (there
are about 50 post-SP6 fixes you need to install too) you have
a rather short sighted system administrator.

It might work, but if it doesn't I'm afraid the response is just going to
be 'install SP6'.
