Trisha,

I assume the amplifier you are speaking of is designed for a TV signal only.

TV is a unidirectional signal coming into the house. The Internet
connection is bidirectional. It must come in and go out of the house.
That would require a special bidirectional amplifier.

Do they sell an amplifier for Internet cable?

If you add an amplifier to your system it should be "safe" to connect it as follows:


|----cable modem----router/computer cable>>>>>splitter{ |>>>amp>>>>TV cable/w splitters>>>>>TV sets


I have not tried this setup. I only have Internet service from Charter.

It has been very solid. I had a few hours of down time once.
