Have not tried it nor heard about it until you mentioned it. From the main page:
"A dynamic web site platform which allows an individual or community of users to publish, manage and organize a variety of content, Drupal integrates many popular features of content management systems, weblogs, collaborative tools and discussion-based community software into one easy-to-use package."
It's another LAMP-like project (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), but can be tweaked to run on other OSes with other webservers and with other databases:

How does drupal differ from the Nuke-like content management systems? Also, how does it compare to phpWebsite ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpwebsite/ ) or eGroupWare ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/egroupware/ ), both of which are on this week's SourceForge Top-10 most active list ( http://sourceforge.net/top/mostactive.php?type=week )?
